Information Request for Corridors
Searches based on corridors may be conducted, but are subject to a case by case evaluation by MNFI staff. When a Michigan GeoRef projected shapefile of the corridor is provided to MNFI the cost is $100/shapefile for the database search and an additional data compilation fee for Element Occurrences (EOs). If a Michigan GeoRef projected shapefile is not provided to MNFI the cost starts at $150/shapefile and will be an additional $50/hour if the work needed to project/create the corridor shapefile exceeds one hour, plus an additional data compilation fee.
The data compilation fee starts at $25 and increases based on the total area requested. This increase is calculated using the same fee structure in place for USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle searches and is based on the area of a quadrangle and the area of the requested corridor. For corridors without a buffer (a line feature) a two mile buffer will be added unless otherwise requested.
For requests with a normal turn-around time, the information is sent when payment is received. We can do rush orders with a 3 day or less turn-around for an additional $25.
